Portarlington Mussel Festival

Portarlington is famous for its fresh, delicious mussels, and there’s no better time and place to enjoy this delicacy in all its forms than at the Portarlington Mussel Festival on Saturday 14 January 2023. Featuring over 200 stalls, local musicians, roving entertainment, classic cars, sailing races, cooking demonstrations and so much more, the festival is a day of total fun for the whole family. 

Set against the backdrop of picturesque Portarlington beach, this one-day festival is the perfect reason to explore the Bellarine Peninsula this summer.

Jurassic Creatures

If your children love dinosaurs, then this realistic animatronic exhibition is a must-see. Become immersed in a prehistoric time and watch as over 30 dinosaurs come alive before your eyes. Jurassic Creatures also offers a host of activities for everyone to enjoy:

Dolphin Discovery 

Experience a fun and interactive workshop aboard Searoad Ferries, where you’ll learn all about Port Phillips bay’s unique dolphins and other marine life, including seals and whales! Play games, see dolphin skulls and meet Bella Burrunan the dolphin!

Great Australian Beer Festival Geelong 

On Friday 20 – Saturday 21 January 2023, discover Australia’s most diverse and colourful beer festival at Johnstone Park in Geelong. With brewers from near and far showcasing hundreds of amazing beers and ciders, plus food trucks, live music, comedy, roving performers and free masterclasses, this event is packed with fun. Immerse yourself in the colour of this iconic summer festival, a delightful journey of sipping, sampling and socialising.

Festival of Sails 

Geelong’s annual Festival of Sails (FOS) combines world-class sailing action and fantastic waterfront entertainment. Taking place from 26 – 29 January 2023, FOS is particularly famous for its Melbourne to Geelong Passage Race – the oldest sporting event in the Southern Hemisphere – which will be celebrating its 180th birthday in 2023.  

Plus, enjoy incredible entertainment with a brilliant line up of music legends and emerging artists performing on the Geelong Waterfront.
