The 10 Phases of Site Preparation at Panorama Portarlington
Before our purchasers can begin constructing their new home at Panorama Portarlington, the site must first undergo an important preparation process to ensure our community and the homes within it are constructed to the highest standards.
Here’s what the 10 phases of site preparation at Panorama Portarlington entail:
Phase 1: Approvals from the relevant authorities
Before any civil construction activities can take place on site, it’s essential we obtain all required approvals from Council and other referral authorities.
Phase 2: Earthworks
This phase involves clearing, excavation, digging, levelling, cutting, filling and compacting the land to ensure it’s a suitable surface to commence detailed civil construction work.
Phase 3: Sewer and drainage
Infrastructure is installed to manage waste and water disposal. During this phase, a network of pipes is fitted to connect sanitary drains to main disposal ways.
Phase 4: Water and gas
Water and gas services are installed and connected to each homesite.
Phase 5: Road excavation
Initial roadworks begin, with the mapping and excavation of each road and footpath.
Phase 6: Electrical and communications
Cabling is installed to supply electricity, nbn™ and telecommunication services to each homesite.
Phase 7: Road pavements and concreting
Road construction is finalised, with gutters and footpaths installed, as well as the allocation of driveways and any walking and cycling paths in the stage.
Phase 8: Finishing works
All streetscapes and landscaping come together to enhance the community aesthetic.
